Zachary "Zack" Martin Moos

Zachary “Zack” Martin Moos, 35, passed away on January 14, 2025, in Plainville, Kansas. He was born February 28, 1989, to Brian and Lisa (Pywell) Moos in Hays, Kansas.

Zack graduated from Plainville High School in 2007 and continued his education at NCKTC in Beloit, completing the plumbing, heating and air conditioning program.

Zack worked in the plumbing field for a few years before transitioning to the oil field. He had a deep passion for drawing and took great pride in tinkering with his beloved truck. He was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was playing with his nieces and nephews or fixing a family plumbing issue. His kindness and generosity extended beyond his family to his many friends, some of whom had been part of his life since childhood. Zack cherished these friendships and developed close bonds with their children as well.

Zachary is survived by his parents of Plainville; sisters Danielle (Mark) Waggoner and Chelsea Garcia of Plainville, Brianna (Tyler) Husmann of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Casey (Timothy) Pierz of Wellington, Colorado; nieces Lillian, Natalie, Aubrey, London, Landrie, Adelaide, Rose, Annabelle and Olyvia; nephews Lincoln and Arthur; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles (Corky) and Rose Pywell and Harry and Alice Moos; step-grandmother, Julia Moos; uncles, Reggie Pywell, Kevin Pywell and Harry A. Moos; aunt, Sharyl Moos; and cousins, David Meyer, Warren Moos and Douglas Moos.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 10:30AM at the Nazarene Church in Plainville. There will be no visitation.
