Wesley S. Hunt

Wesley Scott Hunt passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 41. He was born on March 30, 1976 in Hill City, Kansas to Kay (Hunt) Rogers. He grew up in the Palco, Kansas area before the family moved, during his junior high school years, to Holyoke, Colorado where he graduated from Holyoke High School with the Class of 1995. On August 23, 1997 he was united in marriage to Tracy Klippert at the Red Line Church of God near Palco. They were blessed with one daughter, Willow. Wesley was an avid outdoorsman. He was a self-employed farmer and rancher, volunteered time with the Rooks County Free Fair and the Fair Board, and liked hunting and fishing whenever he had the opportunity. But the time he enjoyed the most, was when he could spend it with his daughter Willow, supporting her in all of her school and other activities. Wesley is survived by his daughter Willow Hunt of Plainville; former spouse Tracy Hunt of Plainville; mother Kay Hunt Rogers and husband David of Newton; grandmother Jean Hunt of Stockton; and sisters Elizabeth Arnold and husband John of Sapulpa, OK, and Rachel Henson and husband Jessie of Sapulpa, OK. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jesse Hunt, Charles Rogers, and Emma Rogers; uncles James Hunt and Don Lawver; and aunts Dorothy Lawver and Ruby Brungardt. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the United Methodist Church in Plainville. Burial will follow in the Morlan Township Cemetery near Palco. Visitation will be from 1:00-8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
