Wandalene "Wanda" Maxine Jones passed away at the Via Christi Nursing Home in Hays, Kansas Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the age of 81. She was born February 17, 1932 in Stockton, Kansas to Claude and Edith (Watkins) Pifer. Wanda graduated from Stockton High School in 1950. She married Paul E. Jones February 5, 1956 in Stockton, Kansas. They were blessed with two daughters, Karen and Karol. Wanda worked on the farm alongside her husband for years. She always made sure the farm was intact. Pifer of Texas; 4 grandchildren, Sean and Robin Carver, and Kevin and Joey Wasinger; 3 step-grandchildren, Paul Wasinger, Michelle Schwenk and James Goodin; and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Preceding Wanda in death are her parents, Claude and Edith, her husband Paul and a son-in-law. The gift of memories that surrounded Wanda's life will bring comfort, joy and laughter to those friends and family left behind. Treasure the memories always.
