Vivian Elizabeth Miller

December 2, 1927 — February 9, 2013

Vivian Elizabeth Miller, born December 2, 1927 to Richard & Adeline (Mead) Crespin in Anaheim, California, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Vivian, part of The Greatest Generation, grew up in California when times were hard. She often shared stories about spending the summers at her grandparents farm, going barefoot to save her shoes, and what a treat it was to be able to go to the movie and maybe get a piece of candy. Vivian met Kenneth Miller, Sr and they were married on November 12, 1949. They were blessed with three children, Kenneth, Jr., Addie and Donald. In the early 70's, they traded in the California hustle and bustle and made the move to America's Heartland. They purchased the Old Bartholomew farm, 8 miles North of Stockton, on Bow Creek, and began fixing it up while living at the Alamo Motel in town. In 1973 they purchased the Pla-Mor Cafe on Main Street and renamed it the K & V Cafe. She ran the cafe for over 25 years, finally closing down and retiring in 1999. Many of you probably remember her for making the best fried chicken in town. Her grandchildren remember her for her amazing work ethic and the remarkable example she set for them as they worked side by side with her on the weekends and summers. The most important day of her life was December 27, 1987, the day she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Main Street Christian Church. After suffering a fall at home, Vivian moved to the Solomon Valley Manor in December, 2010 where she received amazing love and care from the wonderful staff - who also, like her family, learned she can be very playful, but very stubborn at times. She loved her family, riding the back country roads, going to the lake, fishing, country music, ice cream, chocolate, her dog Daisy, and the color blue. She is survived by her 3 children, 9 grandchildren, Christopher Miller (Lara), Timothy Miller (Maren), Cody Foster (Jennifer), Jamie Miller, Joshua Foster (Loni), Jesica Kerr (Daniel), Erin Miller, Kacy Becker (Kennis), Gabriel Miller (Jessica) and 18 great grandchildren.
