Remembering … Tim D. Frazey woke to life eternal on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Tim was born in Quinter, Kansas, on October 18, 1946, to Forrest and Lillian (Morgan) Frazey. Tim graduated from Hoxie High School and started to attend Fort Hays State University until he was drafted in 1965. He served his country in the United States Army. When he returned home, he continued his study at Fort Hays and married Linda Winter on December 28, 1968. Their marriage would last a lifetime. Together, Tim and Linda had two children, John and Laura. Tim was a loving father to his children and he was a doting grandfather to his three grandchildren, Justis, Britin and Oteka. He made a career in farming. He held a number of other jobs throughout the years, including driving a school bus and assisting at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home. Tim was a Mason and a member of the Hoxie Hotrodders Lions Club. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hoxie where he was an elder and trustee. Throughout the years Tim had many interests. Tim was a runner, he loved airplanes and he was a perpetual student of the Bible, theology and spirituality. But his greatest interest was in people. He always saw the good in others, showing them love and respect. Tim was generous to a fault. Anywhere there was a need, he was there, whether he was invited to be or not. Tim loved to joke. His wit and good-humored sarcasm will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife Linda; children Lt. Colonel John Frazey and wife Kirsten, and Rev. Laura Frazey and husband Luke Bott; grandchildren Justis and Britin Frazey and Oteka Bott; parents Forrest and Lillian Frazey; and siblings Lynn Frazey and wife Sandra, Clara Lou Spillman and husband Dennis, and Gary Frazey and wife Carole. He also leaves behind an endless number of friends. Tim’s life was a daily example and inspiration guided by the prayer of St. Francis. He was an instrument of God’s peace; he sought to love, console, understand and give. He sought faith where there was doubt, light where there was darkness and joy where there was sadness. His legacy will live forever in the hearts and lives of his children, grandchildren, and all of the generations that will follow.
