Thomas Lynn Zajac was born May 2, 1956 in Fontana, California. He passed away on Tuesday morning, August 21, 2012 in the Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 56. Tom attended school in California and graduated from Santa Fe California High School. He later attended college at Colby Community College. Tom was united in marriage to Teresa Cox on March 16, 1979 in California. They were blessed with four sons, William, Daniel, Jason and Stephen. Tom worked as a security manager in California. He worked a few places in Hoxie before going to work for the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher. Tom loved his family and always enjoyed the time he spent with them, from cooking great meals, fishing, shooting guns. Just the thought of time with them all put a smile on his face. Tom was very active in the Hoxie Community Theatre. He acted, directed and helped with any part of putting on plays. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Teresa of the home; four sons, William Lyons of Hoxie, Daniel Zajac of Manhattan, Jason Zajac and wife Charlene of Englewood, Colorado, and Stephen Zajac and wife Michelle of Manhattan; sister, Deb Borger and husband Rob of Quinter and Bonnie Pickering of Quinter. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dorothy Zajac. Tom was a devoted and loving companion for his family, friends, and community. His adventurous attitude, broad range of interests, and his happy demeanor, made him a wonderful person to know. What we have lost is tremendous, but what he gave is immeasurable.
