Terry Tim Adams

Terry Adams, 58, passed away Friday, September 05, 2014, at his home in Tasco, Kansas. He was born April 10, 1956, to Floyd and Patricia “Pat” (Storer) Adams, in Hoxie, Kansas. Terry and his family moved to Lee’s Summit, Missouri when he was eleven years old. Terry attended school in Lee’s Summit and graduated from Lee’s Summit Senior High School with the class of 1974. After graduation, he entered an apprenticeship program with the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the Electrical Industry. After completion of the four year program he earned his Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship on Dec 18, 1983 to become a licensed Journeyman Electrician. He married Angie Hansen on December 16, 1978, in Kansas City, Missouri. They later divorced. Terry spent thirty years working as an electrician retiring when his health began to fail. He belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union. Besides work, Terry loved hunting, fishing, and motorcycles. He was considered the daredevil of the family. There was not a thing he would not try to do. He even learned to ride a unicycle. Terry was the type of person who was always willing to help anyone. Through the last years of his life his constant companions were his dogs, Buzz and Harley. He loved them as much as they loved him. During the past ten years of his illness, he never complained, no matter how sick he was. Above all else, the love of Terry’s life was his family and his dogs. There was nothing Terry would not do for any of them or anyone else. He worked and played hard, enjoying his life to the end. Terry is survived by his brothers, Kim and wife Terri of Delphos, Kansas and Corky and wife Jeanette of Hoxie, Kansas; and sister, Kanda Jones and husband Jonny of Hoxie, Kansas. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Pat Adams.
