Susan Renee Chesney passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Salina Regional Medical Center at the age of 59. She was born in Denver, Colorado March 16, 1953 to Chester and Opal (Bice) Baxter. Susan attended school in Stockton. She was united in marriage to Kent L. Chesney on June 17, 1977 at the First Congregational Church in Stockton. Susan enjoyed dancing and concerts. She was very creative and loved to do crafts with her grandkids. She and her husband were foster parents for 8 years and she so loved her family. Left to cherish Susan’s memory is her husband Kent of the home; her father Chet Baxter; sons Phillip Chesney (Rhonda) of Quincy, IL, Andrew Chesney (Kim) of Bennington, KS and Scott Chesney (Amanda) of Pratt, KS; daughters Monica Engelhardt of Salina, KS, Angie Coble (Mark) of Salina, KS, and Marisa and Allie Chesney of the home in Stockton; brothers Randy Baxter (Alma) of Falls Church, VA and Mark Baxter of Newton; Sisters Rita Sander (Del) of Stockton, KS and Nancy Brummer (Dan) of Bennington, KS; 12 grandchildren: Kent, Kalin and Kolton Chesney, David, Derek, Danae and Dylan Chesney, McKentzee Engelhardt, and Tyler, Taite, Timeri and Trevor Coble; and 1 great-grandchildren, Avah Engelhardt. Preceding Susan in death is her mother, Opal. We have not lost Susan, even in death. She continues to participate in everything we do, every thought and decision we make. Her love leaves an imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared her love. Visitation #2: 723 N.
