Shirley Irene (Eggers) Desaire passed away Saturday, July 18, 20145 at the Solomon Valley Manor in Stockton, Kansas at the age of 67. She was born on March 15, 1948 in Stockton to the late Edmond and Betty (Palmer) Eggers. She graduated from Stockton High School with the Class of 1967. Although she held different jobs over the years, Shirley enjoyed working as a Certified Nursing Assistant as well as selling Avon. Always one to stay busy and creative, she was skilled at crocheting, latch hooking, and weaving. For fun, she liked working crossword puzzles and word searches, and of course was always ready for a good game of “Chicken Foot” or cards. Of course her love for NASCAR and Jeff Gordon was second only to her love for family and friends. Shirley is survived by her daughter Angie Coone and husband Michael of Wewoka, OK; brothers Richard Eggers and wife Joyce of Lindsborg, Terry Eggers and wife Linda of Plainville, Bob Eggers of Gilbert, AZ, and Ron Eggers and wife Dana of Parsons; sister Debbie Schellinger of Clarksville, TN; aunt Ruby Bell Bedore of Stockton; and three grandchildren, Corbin, Devin, and Gideon. She was preceded in death by her parents Edmond and Betty Eggers. Shirley was a woman of strong faith, enduring hope, and devoted love. Through her own life she encouraged others to take the time to have fun, enjoy life, and love those who are close to you. She will be greatly missed but her heart, her spirit, and her memory will never be forgotten. Reception: Main Street Christian Church
