Sharon Lorene (Beltz) Saindon passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 65. She was born April 10, 1949 to Henry and Pearl (Shubert) Beltz in Hays, Kansas. She graduated from Plainville High School. Sharon was a loving woman who found joy in serving and taking care of others. Both as a homemaker and working jobs outside the home, the places she worked usually involved food. Whether waiting tables or preparing the food, she loved to cook and be in the kitchen. She also enjoyed reading, embroidery, and watching her cooking shows or game shows on TV. But above all else, Sharon loved her family, especially her grandchildren of whom she was so proud. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, there was not anything she would not do or give if her family needed it. Sharon is survived by her husband Melvin Saindon of their home in Zurich; son Matt Saindon and wife Lona of Zurich; daughters Shannon Saindon of Goodland, and Melissa Skov and husband Rod of WaKeeney; sister Shirley Hendrex of Plainville; and grandchildren Chris Skov, Cassandra Skov, Lorene Saindon, Marie Saindon, and Lynden Saindon. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Pearl Beltz. Sharon may have been a woman of simple means, but she was a woman of deep love and devotion to God, her family, and her friends. She taught by example that the key to a happy and fulfilled life is found in serving others. Although she will be greatly missed, we rejoice with her now as she hears these words: “Well done good and faithful servant. Enter now into your Father’s rest.”
