Scott Morris Wilson

May 5, 1958 — December 7, 2024

Scott Morris Wilson passed away on December 7, 2024, at his home in Stockton, KS. He was born on May 5, 1958, in Providence, Rhode Island to Paul T. and Julia (Morris) Wilson. He graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 1977.

Scott worked in heavy road construction and other trades in the Kansas City area before moving to Stockton in 1999 to be a grounds keeper at Cedar Links Golf Club. He loved playing golf and that is where he met the love of his life, Pamela (Hansen) Muir. They were married on the golf course May 6, 2000. They enjoyed playing together until a serious back injury in 2001 left him unable to continue playing.

Scott and Pam lived on a small homestead south of Stockton until December 2023 when a house fire forced them to move to town. Scott loved the outdoors and his many pets, especially his dogs. Other interests were sports and motorcycles. The peace and tranquility of the farm was his paradise on earth.

He is survived by his wife, Pam of the home in Stockton; son, Nicholas Wilson (Bridget) of Shawnee, KS; daughter, Vanessa (Seth) Weigel of Shawnee; brothers, Tim (Winnie) of Kansas City, MO and Jeremy (Kristi) of Marysville, MO; sisters, Dee O’Brien of Prairie Village, KS, Paula (John) Murray of Leawood, KS, and Jennifer Wilson of Shawnee; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family of Hansens and Muirs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul T. and Julia Wilson, and brother-in-law, Jack O’Brien.

A private family celebration of Scott’s life will be held later.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice Services of NWKS (www.hospicenwks.net/donate) and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 723 N. 1st, Stockton, KS 67669.
