Mass of Christian Burial for Ruby Marie Klaus, age 81, of Plainville, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville with Father Galen Long as Celebrant. Mrs. Klaus passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville. She was born May 5, 1929 the daughter of Frank Sr. and Eleanor Stadelman. Mrs. Klaus worked for the St. Ann’s Hospital in Hays and then worked for the Katherine’s Caf? in Plainville for many years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was very involved in the Senior Companions program in Plainville for several years. On June 8, 1946 she married Severin P. Klaus in Hays. He passed away July 7, 1990. Survivors include her sons Gerald and wife Debra Klaus of Russell, Timothy and wife Deborah Klaus of Lawrence; brother Frank Stadelman of Ellis; 11 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Wanda Kuhlman, parents, husband, and 3 grandchildren. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. A Ladies Guild rosary will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday followed by a Parish Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. all at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Companions and may be sent in care of the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville, Kansas 67663.
