Ruby H. Cain

Ruby H. Cain passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Redbud Village in Plainville at the age of 97. She was born May 26, 1916 to John and Anna (Ziegler) Knust in Peabody, Kansas. Ruby was united in marriage to George Leroy Cain in December of 1934. They were blessed with four children, Marvin, Shirley, Glen and Patricia. She was preceded in death by George in 1971. Ruby enjoyed crocheting. She would make afghans, doilies, and bedspreads for most if not all the granddaughters. She loved to travel throughout her life. Later when travel was not as easy, she would count on the car rides around the countryside near Plainville. Her family was the love of her life. Ruby is survived by her sons, Marvin and wife Janice of Salina and Glen of Plainville; daughters, Shirley Hutton and Patricia Bethel and husband Don all of Plainville; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Knust; husband, George; three brothers and two sisters.
