Ronald G Turnbull

Ronald G. Turnbull passed away Friday, September 13, 2013, at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS at the age of 68. Ron was born on October 22, 1944 to Irvin and Montie (Atteberry) at home near Stockton, Kansas. He grew up on the family farm with eleven siblings. He attended a country school until junior high and graduated from Stockton High in 1963. Upon graduation he married his high school sweetheart, Judy Northup, on June 2, 1963 in Stockton. They celebrated their 50 year anniversary in June. Ron enjoyed gardening, woodworking, being a good neighbor and lending a helping hand wherever it was needed. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. Ron was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Stockton. Ron is survived by his wife, Judy of Woodston; two sons, Brad of Lucas and David of Woodston; daughter, Shari Reichard and husband Doug of Woodston; seven grandchildren, Gage, Hannah and Hayden Reichard, Jarron Turnbull, and Hope, Christian and Skyler Turnbull; three brothers, Jack and wife Nola of Plainville, Jim and wife Judy of Hutchinson and Dick and Judie of Salina; four sisters, Margurette Hulse and husband Verle of Mindan, LA, Pat Toelkes of Mindan, LA, Karrol Kirk of Hutchinson, and Linda Normandin and husband Don of Damar. Preceding Ron in death are his parents Irvin and Montie Turnbull; sisters Norma Jean and Jane Drotts; brother Billy; and Baby Turnbull.
