Mass of Christian Burial for Ronnie L. “Ron” Brin, age 60 of Plainville, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville with Father Joshua Werth as Celebrant. Mr. Brin passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at his home in Plainville. He was born May 5, 1952 in Stockton the son of Donald and Elaine (Roberts) Brin. Ron Graduated from Plainville High School and served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was very involved in the Kansas Special Olympics for many years as a coach and mentor. Ron was a maintenance supervisor for the Redbud Village in Plainville and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family and being a grandpa. On September 30, 1995 he married Linda Keller in Plainville. Linda survives of the home. He is also survived by his sons Corey Brin of Hays, Jason Brin of Plainville; mother Elaine Brin of Plainville; brothers Mac Brin of Pratt, Larry and his wife Paula Brin of Hutchinson, Mark and his wife Jill of Monahans, Texas; sisters Carol and husband Lee Fellhoelter of Plainville, Patsy and husband Dave Ruder of Canyon City, Colorado; step sons Jeff and wife Kristy Nyp of Stockton, Jason and wife Lisa Nyp of Zurich; five grandchildren Jameson, Chandler, Stetson, Riley and Anika. Burial with military honors provided by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Plainville. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. ­ 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. ­ 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel. A Parish Vigil service will be 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Solomon Valley ARC or to the donor?s choice and may be sent in care of the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville, Kansas 67663. Condolences may be left for the family on our send your condolences link.
