Robert E. "Bob" Haack, Jr.

February 20, 1946 — March 28, 2024

Robert E. “Bob” Haack Jr, of Wilson, KS, passed away on March 28, 2024, at the Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, KS, at the age of 78. He was born on February 20, 1946, to Robert E. and Lucille (Tomsheck) Haack in Chicago, IL. He married Glenda Green in 2006 in Reno, NV.


Bob grew up in southern Chicago. After graduating from high school, he went to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. Bob was a Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise owner and had five stores in Kansas. After retiring in 2009, they moved to Wilson Lake. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Russell.


He enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending bulls and bears financial meetings in Ellsworth.


Bob is survived by his wife, Glenda of the home in Wilson; step-children, Cinnamon (Chad) Engle of Charles Town, WV and Jason (Sarah) Thomas of Honolulu, HI; sister, Sheila Wilimzig of Little Rock, AR; and three grandchildren, Kyleigh Thomas, Jocelyn Thomas, and Dillon Thomas Engle.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucille Haack.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 2PM at the First Congregational Church in Russell, KS.

Memorials are suggested to First Congregational Church and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 723 N. 1st, Stockton, KS 67669.
