Reta Ann King

Funeral services for Reta Ann (Butler) King, age 71, of Plainville, formerly of Zurich, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel in Plainville with Reverend Daryl Sherraden officiating. Reta passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 at the Redbud Village in Plainville. She was born July 25, 1940 in Hamit, Idaho the daughter of Ernest “Ivan” and Hazel I. (Sparks) Butler. Reta graduated from Palco High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting, making Cabbage Patch Dolls, and gardening. Reta is survived by her daughter Catherine King of Zurich; sons Terry and wife Dawn King of Essington, PA, George and wife Mickey King of Zurich; adoptive daughter Dinah Van Schuyver of Plainville; brother Richard Butler of Kentucky; sister in law Susie Butler of Plainville; grandchildren Rachel Timbur, Samantha Kelly, Terry King, Jr, Evelyn Binder; Great Grandchildren Steven Kelly, Kari Kelly, Brian Kelly, Tae Binder, Aspen Binder, and Tekall Binder. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Rose Butler, Ruby Butler; brothers Roger Butler, and James Butler. Cremation is planned. Visitation will be from 1 – 8 Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6 – 8 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Zurich Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Reta King Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville, Kansas 67663.
