Phyllis J. “Jeanie” Hrabik, 77, died May 23, 2015 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas. Jeanie was born February 17, 1938 in Horton, Kansas, the daughter of Charley and Violet (Andrick) Boothe. She grew up and attended school in Whiting, Kansas. She was a graduate of Whiting High School. Jeanie was united in marriage to Larry Hrabik on December 14, 1957 in Topeka, Kansas. They made their home in Omaha, Nebraska for 46 years, moving to Wilson in 2001. In addition to being a homemaker, Jeanie worked for 32 years as a cook for the Omaha Public Schools until her retirement in 2001. After retirement, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, spending time with her family, was an accomplished cook and well known for her lasagna and pineapple upside down cake. She is survived by her husband, Larry, of the home; sons Mike Hrabik and Ron Hrabik, both of Omaha, Nebraska; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and brother in law, Gerald Holsman of Horton, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary K. Holsman.
