Patrick "Pat" Muir

September 21, 1965 — June 1, 2025

Patrick “Pat” Lane Muir, 59, of Stockton, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by loved ones. His sudden passing leaves a deep ache in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.

Pat was born on September 21, 1965, in Plainville, Kansas, to Richard Davis “Dick” and Nancy May (Levin) Muir. He was raised in Stockton, where he formed lifelong friendships and graduated from Stockton High School in 1984. After high school, he attended Hutchinson Community College and played one season of football, reflecting a competitive spirit that would carry through his life.

On July 12, 1986, Pat married the love of his life, Tialisa Andrews, at the Methodist Church in Stockton. Together they built a life grounded in love, fun, and laughter. They were blessed with a son, Heath, who was Pat’s pride and joy. In more recent years, nothing brought Pat more happiness than being "Poppy" to his grandsons, Lane and Cohen.

For over 25 years, Pat dedicated himself to agriculture, working as an agronomist. He had a deep respect for the land and a passion for helping his producers grow and thrive—qualities that also defined his relationships with family and friends.

Pat lived life with quiet strength and a warm, easygoing nature. He loved the simple pleasures: hunting in the fall, casting a line into a favorite fishing spot, camping under the stars, and perfecting his cornhole throw. He was always up for a round of golf, cheering on K-State with fellow fans, and a cornhole tournament. He loved a good story, a cold drink, and a good laugh—but more than anything, he loved his family. He never missed a chance to support Heath or boast about his grandsons.

Pat is survived by his loving wife, Tialisa of the home in Stockton; son, Heath (Lacey) Muir of Stockton; grandsons, Lane and Cohen Muir; brothers, Michael (Sherry) Muir of Hays, KS, and John (Tina) Muir of Ellwood, NE; sister, Dana (Steve) Fisher of Seattle, WA; sister-in-law, Gina Muir of Stockton; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Brad Muir.

Pat’s legacy will live on in the fields he walked, the friendships he nurtured, and the family he loved so deeply. His was a life of quiet generosity, deep integrity, and unwavering devotion. He will be missed more than words can say.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, beginning at 5:00 PM at the Rooks County Golf Course, with a time of sharing to begin at 6:00 PM. The family invites all who knew Pat to come together for food, fellowship, and stories in honor of a life well lived. Guests are welcome to bring a beverage of choice as we raise a glass to Pat’s memory. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home in Stockton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rooks County Golf Course or Rooks County Free Fair, and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 723 N. 1st, Stockton, KS 67669.
