Patricia (Riley) Mccue

March 5, 1944 — July 8, 2024

Patricia (Riley) McCue, of Grand Island, NE passed away on July 8, 2024, at Tabitha at Prairie Commons in Grand Island, Nebraska, at the age of 80. She was born on March 5,1944, in Wilmington, Delaware to Michael Jr. and Patricia (Smith) Riley. She was united in marriage to Robert McCue on August 9,1974, at the United Methodist Church in Stockton, Kansas. They were blessed with three daughters: Elizabeth, Kathleen, and Rebecca.


Patricia graduated from John Dickinson High School in Wilmington, Delaware in 1963. She enjoyed moving around the country with Robert for his work. She lived in South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Utah, Nebraska and Colorado before retiring to Arizona where she enjoyed playing golf and various card games with the good friends she met there. After 12 years in Arizona, she moved to Nevada and then on to Delaware to spend time with her sisters. She also enjoyed traveling to spend time with family and friends.


Patricia was also an avid cruiser. She and Robert enjoyed 14 cruises together to Alaska, Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada and the Panama Canal. She also enjoyed a cruise to the Bahamas with her daughter Kathleen and a family cruise to Cabo San Lucas.


Left to cherish Patricia’s memory are her husband Robert of Grand Island, NE; daughters, Elizabeth (Patrick) Noel of Tobias, NE, Kathleen McCue of Grand Island, NE, and Rebecca (David) Franco of Denver, CO; five grandsons, Jacob Noel, Riley (Bria) Noel, Liam Noel, Seth Noel, and Micah Noel; two great-grandchildren, Emerson and Hudson Noel; and two sisters Kathleen Walker and Alice (Bud) Scott both of Middletown, Delaware.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Jr. and Patricia; and her brother Micheal Riley III.


A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11AM at the funeral home in Stockton. Visitation will be from 10 AM until service time.


Memorials are suggested to Tabitha Hospice and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 723 N. 1st, Stockton, KS 67669.
