Patricia Meyers

Patricia “Pat” Meyers, age 68 of Plainville, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Pat was born on August 15, 1951 to William and Mildred (Kammerer) Hutchcraft in Hays, Kansas. She spent her life in Plainville and graduated from Plainville High School with the class of 1969. She then went off to Concordia Kansas Nursing School before returning back to the area. Pat was a scrub nurse in the O.R. for the majority of her career, but she retired in the Physical Therapy Department at the Rooks County Health Center. She was united in marriage to Gary Meyers on July 27, 1974 in Plainville. To this union two daughters were born, Michele and Lisa. Throughout her life she enjoyed scrapbooking, quilting, and was known to not only be lucky with such a close kinship, but lucky in the casinos as well. Above all, Pat loved to spend time with her family, make inside jokes with her grandkids, travel on cruise ships with her family on board, and she never failed to document moments with a picture. Left to cherish Pat’s memories is her husband, Gary Meyers of the home; daughters, Michele Hinger and husband Sean of Plainville and Lisa Thompson and husband Shanon of Gardner, Kansas; grandchildren, Zachary and Jenna Hinger, Gillian and Nichele Hughes, and Tyler and Jacob Thompson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mildred Hutchcraft; and brother, Jim Hutchcraft. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Plainville, Cemetery in Plainville, Kansas at 10:30 A.M. A book signing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
