Patricia Elizabeth McCammack, of Plainville, Kansas, passed away on March 8, 2025, at Hays Medical Center at the age of 59. She was born on April 15, 1965, to James A. and Eleanor R. (Kaczorowski) Figner in El Paso, Texas. Patricia married the love of her life, Mark McCammack 27 years ago on April 19, 1997, in Tombstone, Arizona. Patty has four sons who she loved deeply and talked about all the time.
Patricia grew up in Bradley Beach, New Jersey, and attended Bradley Beach Grammar School and Asbury Park High School. She went on to pursue her education at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona, before earning her bachelor’s in psychology at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. With her degree, she worked as an adult protection specialist for the Kansas Department of Children and Families, dedicating herself to supporting those in need.
A woman of many talents, Patricia enjoyed gardening year-round, creating delicious pies and crinkle cookies, and thrifting for hidden treasures. Her love for music brought her joy as she played guitar with her father, James, and enjoyed singing karaoke with friends and family. Patricia was an avid outdoorswoman, often traveling with her family to explore new places, and she cherished capturing life’s moments through photography and painting. Her passion for art was only rivaled by her deep desire to help others, a calling that was reflected in her work and her generous spirit.
Patricia will be remembered as an incredible wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She had a kind heart that made her loved by many, and she will be profoundly missed.
