Osythe M. (Kuck) Wallert passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Great Bend Health & Rehabilitation in Great Bend, Kansas at the age of 91. She was born November 20, 1924 to Henry and Ruth (Viglini) Kuck in Wilson, Kansas. Osythe attended school in Wilson and graduated from Wilson High School. Shortly after graduation she was united in marriage to Leonard Wallert on December 19, 1943 in Russell, Kansas. This union was blessed with four children: Leonard Jr., Rocklin, Rick, and Jackie. They lived in Wilson until 1960 when they moved to Great Bend, Kansas. Osythe worked for Central Kansas Medical Center as a switchboard operator then as a surgery scheduler. She went on to work as a medical coder for Dr. David Gillenwater for 22 years, retiring in 2013. She was meticulous in her work and enjoyed working in her yard and traveling with her family. Survivors include her son, Rick Wallert of Great Bend, Kansas; daughter Jackie Swire and husband Vic of Bushton, Kansas; three grandchildren: Stacey Chandler of Wichita, Craig Wallert of Wichita, and Josh Hagen of Olathe, Kansas; four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard in 2003, infant son Leonard Jr., son Rocklin in 2000, and a sister Connie Sebesta.
