Ona Maupin

Funeral services for Ona M. Maupin, age 82, of Russell, formerly of Natoma will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel in Plainville with Reverend Ben MacConnell officiating. Ona passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Russell Regional Hospital. She was born July 21, 1929 in Natoma the daughter of John E. and Hortense J. (Russell) Maupin. Ona was disabled. She enjoyed gardening, gathering eggs, loved all animals especially dogs, and cats. Ona also loved being around babies, listening to country music and fishing. Survivors include her sisters Patricia Hosier of Natoma, Mary Gooden of Natoma, Sue Petty of Luray; brothers Johnny Maupin of Dodge City, Mike Maupin of Dodge City; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Private family burial will be in the Natoma Cemetery, Natoma. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. – service time Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street Manor and may be sent in care of the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville, Kansas 67663.
