Naomi Marie Eilers

Naomi Marie Eilers passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 17. She was born on January 13, 2001 in Hays, Kansas to Jay Allen Eilers and Liza Faye Burgess. She grew up in Plainville and was a junior at Plainville High School. Naomi was a hardworking young woman and always looked forward to serving her family, friends, and community at the Cardinal Drive-In in Plainville. She enjoyed running, was a fan of cherry pie, and loved taking care of her of dogs. Naomi is survived by her mother Liza Burgess of the home in Plainville; father Jay Eilers and Bobbi Hosier of Plainville; siblings Brooklyn Eilers, Lillian Eilers, Janey Eilers, Liam Burgess, Jayde Hosier, Keylee Hosier, and Hunter Hosier all of Plainville; grandparents Nancy Eilers of Seminole, OK and Rex and Betty Burgess of Plainville; great-grandparents Shirley Eilers of Plainville and Galen and Mary Ann Boese of Fort Smith, AR; uncles and aunts Jeremy Eilers and Jessy Eilers of Plainville, Justin (Christina) Burgess of Scottsbluff, NE, Jennifer (Clay) Brown of Hays, and Laura Brannick of Tahlequah, OK; and many great uncles, aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Herman T. Eilers III; and great-grandfather Herman T. Eilers Jr.; maternal great-grandparents Ivan and Ruby Burgess and Louis and Katherine Becker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00pm at the funeral home in Plainville with family receiving friends from 6:00-8:00pm.
