Misty Dawn Rohleder-Billinger

Misty Dawn (Rohleder) Billinger passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at her home in Hays, Kansas at the age of 40. She was born March 19, 1977 in Osborne, Kansas to Thomas Oren and Glenda (Gilmore) Rohleder. She graduated from Hays High School with the class of 1995 and later graduated from Fort Hays State University. She was united in marriage to Michael Billinger in 2008. Misty enjoyed indoor and outdoor gardening, cooking and baking, and was an accomplished artist with beautiful penmanship as well. She especially liked drawing and painting pictures of palm trees, beaches and seascapes. Some of her favorite times were spent on shopping excursions with her mother and daughter, where people would often comment on how much they all looked alike. The joy, laughter, and memories will forever bring solace, peace, and comfort to our broken hearts. She will be greatly missed and always loved. She is survived by her daughter Journey Lyn Rohleder; mother and step-father Glenda and Sam Green of Woodston; father and step-mother Tom and Sandy Rohleder of Mills, WY; ex-husband Michael Billinger of Hays; brother Chuck Ekey of Hays; Journey’s father Kenny Geyger of Hays; step-sister Sarabeth Dorr of Alburquerque, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Misty was preceded in death by her grandparents Bessie and Garnet Gilmore and Grandma and Grandpa Rohleder. Graveside Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Woodston Cemetery, near Woodston, Kansas.
