Mildred E. Anderson

Funeral services for Mildred E. Anderson, age 99, of Plainville will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Anderson passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville. She was born September 2, 1911 in Funk, Nebraska, the daughter of Franklin and Elizabeth (Singleterry) Hedstrom. Mrs. Anderson cleaned homes for many years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her children and her grandchildren. On May 15, 1937, she married Paige O. Anderson in Holdrege, Nebraska. Survivors include her Daughters Leanna & husband Lewis Bennett of Sterling, Kansas, Deanna and husband Carrol McQueen of Stockton, Judy Morgan of Mesa, Arizona, Carolyn Turner of Thurmont, Maryland; her sons Lance and wife Judy Anderson of Pratt, Kansas, Gary and wife Barbara Anderson of Plainville; 12 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paige on November 5, 1970; son Leonard; great grandson Shane Wilkerson; and 11 brothers & sisters. Burial will be in the Plainville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 Tuesday, 9-8 Wednesday, and from 9-service time Thursday at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Redbud Village and may be sent in care of the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville, Kansas 67663.
