Maxine Mae Fletcher

Maxine Mae Fletcher passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Salina Presbyterian Manor in Salina, KS at the age of 87. Maxine was born on February 11, 1926 in Florence, Kansas to E.B. and Foy (Smith) Simms. Maxine was a graduate of Plainville High School. Maxine was united in marriage to Floyd Fletcher on July 28, 1944. They were blessed with three children: Jay, Norma Lynn, and Kay. Floyd passed away July 5, 2003 Maxine enjoyed reading, and watching television. She most enjoyed playing bingo with her husband. Left to cherish Maxine’s memory is her son Jay Fletcher and wife Rhonda of Cheney, KS; daughters, Norma Lynn Lambeth of Salina, Kansas and Kay Ray and husband David of Bethlehem, Georgia; sister, Norma Bryant of Hays, Kansas; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, E.B. and Foy; husband, Floyd; and brothers, Billy and Neil Fletcher.
