Maxine Lucile (Dibble) Dix passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas at the age of 81. Maxine was born March 13, 1932 in Osborne County, Kansas to Marshall and Velma (Dugan) Dibble. She graduated from Woodston High School in 1950. Maxine married Robert Dean Dix on January 17, 1951 in Kensington, Kansas and lived in rural Woodston. Maxine worked at the post office in Woodston for several years. She loved cooking, sewing, and taking care of her yard. Survivors include her husband Robert; sons Darwin Dix and wife Lila of Stockton, Mark Dix and wife Gina of Woodston, John Dix and wife Kati of Weatherford, Texas, and Jeff Dix of Stockton; sister, Marcile Miller of McPherson; 11 grandchildren, Bridget (Jason) Wampler, Januari (Courtne) Sawyer, Joel Dix, Gabriel Dix, Bethany Dix, Alaina Dix, Joey Dix, Lexi Dix, Brook Dix, Cody Dix, and Haley Dix; and 3 great-grandchildren, Gracie Wampler, Cordrey Wampler, and Ava Sawyer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Velma; and a brother, Larry Dibble. God placed Maxine in our paths as we go through life, and as family and friends, we are the keepers of the memories we shared with her.
