Max Leon Rush passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas at the age of 76. He was born on December 16, 1938 in Axtell, Kansas to Harry James and Edith Rosa (Bradley) Rush. He graduated from Beatrice High School in Beatrice, Nebraska with the Class of 1957. On March 5, 1960 he was united in marriage to his loving wife of 55 years, Kay Lehmann in Madison, Wisconsin. They were blessed with two children, James and Gail. Max served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He worked for the United States Post Office and retired in 2011 as an Apartment Manager. Survivors include his wife Kay Rush of the home in Stockton; son James Rush of Broadway, VA; daughter Gail Hill and husband Brad of Bogue; sister Patricia Dey and husband Paul of Billings, MT; brother-in-law Michael Lehmann and wife Jill of Sharona, WI; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren with an additional one on the way and due in August. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Rush and Edith Soule, and a brother-in-law Frederick Lehmann.
