Mary Ruth Cain

Mary Ruth Cain passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas at the age of 69. Mary Ruth was born September 17, 1943 and was the daughter of Richard and Esther (Dougherty) Wise. She attended grade school in Plainville and graduated from Plainville High School in 1961. Mary Ruth was united in marriage to Glen Cain on June 21, 1986. Mary Ruth was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Plainville Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed sewing, reading, growing flowers, and cooking; especially pies. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Glen of the home; sons, Scott Thompson and wife Marie of Plainville, Kansas and Michael Thompson and wife Becky of Russell, Kansas; daughters Lori Bailey of Houston, Texas and Bethany Durling of Vineland, New Jersey; sisters Jane Simpson and husband Eric of Berthoud, Colorado and Barbara McLaughlin and husband Butch of Stockton, Kansas; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 4 step great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Esther Wise and a son; John Thompson.
