Mark A. Green

Mark Allyn Green, of Norton, Kansas went to be with the Lord May 9, 2023, at the Norton County Hospital, at the age of 54. He was born on February 17, 1969, to Larry R. and Joan E. (Stafford) Green in Larned, Kansas. He married Shelly (Sutter) Green on June 20, 1998. They later divorced.

Mark graduated from Mid-America Nazarene in 2022. He was a Corrections Counselor 1 at the Norton Correctional Facility. Mark enjoyed underwater basket weaving, reading, guns, and deer hunting. A long time Dallas Cowboys fan, he loved spending time with his family and beamed with light when speaking of them.

Mark is survived by his former wife, Shelly (Sutter) Green of Plainville; children, Zachory Green (Rachaelle) of Wichita, KS, Madisyn Green of Hays, KS, and Maverick Green of Plainville, KS; father, Larry (Eydie) Green of Turon of Turon, KS; siblings, Sheryl Green of Turon, KS, David (Valerie) Green of Stafford, KS, Homer (Erin) Green of Winfield, KS, Karen (Dennis) Kalmer of Turon, KS, Mark (Diana) Sutter of Plainville, KS, and Matt (Kim) Sutter of Plainville, KS; and four grandchildren, Alyah, Laysie, Zayden, Elyjah.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Joan Green and Holly Green, his sister.

Mark touched the lives of all who knew him and he will be missed greatly.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at the Plainville Nazarene Church, 109 Meridian. Visitation will be on Sunday 4 PM until 8 PM with the family present 6PM until 8PM at the funeral home in Plainville.

Mental health was very important to Mark.
