Marie E. Connell

Marie E. (Munn) Connell passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Parkview Care Center in Osborne, Kansas at the age of 84. She was born on August 28, 1930 in Stockton, Kansas to the late Guy and Ida (Smith) Munn. She graduated from Stockton High School with the Class of 1948. On April 23, 1950 Marie was united in marriage to the love of her life Duane Connell in Oxford, Kansas. They made their home in Wichita, Kansas for many years where they were blessed with a son, Jerry Lynn Connell. Marie retired from the banking industry in Wichita at the age of 62 and returned to Stockton in 1994 with husband Duane who preceded her in death on July 20, 2013. Marie is survived by her son Jerry Connell of Humboldt; grandchildren Shannon, Craig, and Kalynne; five great-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Ida Munn, husband Duane Connell, and brother Charles Munn. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed, but she will live forever in our hearts and in our memories.
