Margie Helen "Marge" Small

Margie Helen Small passed away Sunday evening, March 17, 2013 in the Phelps Memorial Health Center at Holdrege, NE at the age of 74. She was born January 14, 1939 to Peter George and Margaret (Cibolski) Weigant in Logan, KS. Marge graduated from Logan High School with the class of 1956. She earned a nursing degree from Fort Hays State University and made her career with Phillips County Hospital for 27 years. She was united in marriage to Darrell L. Small on November 14, 1959 in Logan, Kansas. They were blessed with 2 children: Jeff and Jodi. Marge was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church, St. Thomas Altar Society and Red Hat Society. Marge was very close to her family. She enjoyed vacationing in Branson and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Left to cherish Marge’s memory is her husband, Darrell of the home in Stockton; son, Jeff Small and Laura Hoerner of Bismarck, ND; daughter Jodi Brull and husband Mike of Salina, KS; sister, Eva West of Lincoln, NE; and 3 grandchildren, Ryan Small and fianc?e Kayla Backer, and Ty and Carter Brull. Preceding Marge in death are her parents, George and Margaret. Marge was a treasure of the heart, and to lose her is like losing a piece of ourselves. But the love that Marge brought did not leave us, for the essence of her soul lingers. It cannot escape our hearts, for it has been there forever.
