Margaret Ruth Bolte

Margaret Ruth “Buttenhoff” Bolte passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Rooks County Medical Center in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 88. Margaret was born October 8, 1924, on the family farm in Lincoln County, Kansas to August and Marie (Behrens) Buttenhoff. She was baptized October 26, 1924, and confirmed into the Lutheran faith April 2, 1939. She married Oliver Bolte on September 5, 1943. They lived on the farm purchased by Oliver’s grandfather in 1908. Margaret enjoyed helping Oliver on the farm where they enjoyed a true partnership during their marriage. Margaret also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and being the nurturer of her children and grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, Kay and husband Glenn Davis of Huntsville, AL, and Vicki and husband Dr. Armin Kelly of Plainville, KS; four grandsons, Tari Donley of Beverly, KS, Tracy Donley and wife Joanna of Salina, KS, Kline Kelly and wife Penny of Westfall, KS, Kameron Kelly and wife Nikole of Shawnee, KS; seven great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
