Linda Kay Cook

Hoxie, KS-Linda Kay Cook, 61, passed away. Saturday, December 30, 2016, at her home in rural Sheridan County, Kansas. Linda was born August 19, 1955 to Kenneth and Elaine (Scarecliff) Langer in Des Moines, Iowa . She attended school in Des Moines, Iowa graduating from Hoover High School. She went on to attend Colby Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree in 1991. She worked at the Country Cottage in Hoxie and Nielson Flower Shop in Des Moines, Iowa as a flower designer. Suvivors are her husband, John Cook of the home, whom she married in Oakley, Kansas on October 22, 1988 ;John’s relatives of New York and Tennessee; father, Kenneth Langer of Des Moines, Iowa; brother, William Langer and wife Sheri of Perth, North Dakota; Nephew, Matthew Langer and wife Kayla of Lincoln, North Dakota; niece Melissa Langer and son Michael of Bismarck, North Dakota; Uncle John Langer and nephews, Jack Rath and Grant Lochmiller of Denison, Iowa; niece Martha Harris of Moville, Iowa, and Uncle Charles Scarcliff and wife, Dexa, and son William of Sacramento, California. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine ( Scarcliff) Langer. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
