Linda Comeau

Mass of Christian Burial for Linda A. Comeau, age 61 of Plainville, will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville with Father Ronald Comeau, Father Galen Long and Father John Lager as Celebrants. Mrs. Comeau passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville. She was born October 13, 1949 in Hays the daughter of Aaron and Frieda (Hertel) Wiesner. Linda grew up and resided in Plainville most of her life. She married Roger L. Comeau on June 28, 1969 in Severin, Kansas. Together they had four children Matthew, Brad, April, and Brianne. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and most importantly grandmother. Her four grandchildren Addy, Lilly, Ava, and Vincent meant the world to her. She loved them dearly. She is also survived by her granddogs Jones & Charlie. After Linda and Rogers children were grown, Linda taught school at the Sacred Heart Grade School from 1986 and retired in 2008. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the Ladies Guild in Plainville. Survivors include her husband Roger L. Comeau of the home, sons, Matt and his wife Denise Comeau of Huntington, West Virginia, Brad Comeau and his partner Bob Buechting of Sierra Madre, California; daughters April and husband Justin Brack of Topeka, Kansas, Brianne and husband Scott Kyner of Lawrence, Kansas; mother Frieda Wiesner of Plainville; sisters Gail and husband Wayne Krob of Farmington, New Mexico, Bev and husband Keith Higgins of Marienthal, Kansas, Myra Fisher of Plainville; and her four grandchildren. Linda was also an aunt, and a great-aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Aaron, and her infant sister Maryann. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 Saturday, 9-5 Sunday with a Ladies Guild Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel. A Parish Vigil Service will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart School and may be sent in care of the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville, Kansas 67663.
