Leslie A. Kessinger

August 19, 1968 — December 1, 2025

Wilson, Kansas

Leslie A. Kessinger, 57, entered the gates of Heaven in the wee hours of December 1, 2025, after struggling with severe COPD and asthma for years. Family members were by her side at her home in Wilson, Kansas.

Leslie was born on August 19, 1968, in New Smyrna Beach, Florida to the late Herbert L. Argabright and Sandra (Montgomery) Blair.

On August 8, 1994, Leslie married the love of her life, Walter “Skip” Kessinger. She was thrilled beyond words because her mother performed their marriage vows.

Leslie and Skip moved to Kansas City, Kansas in 2001 because she wanted to go to college and become a certified forensic scientist. But, with three little girls to raise that didn’t happen as planned.

Before moving to Wilson in 2015 Leslie was the regional manager for Subway. There she became a nationally certified pharmacy technician. She thoroughly enjoyed the years spent at Walmart pharmacy in Bonner Springs, Kansas. In Wilson she handled the local food bank for several years. Leslie wanted no one to go hungry. She also gave Sunday morning “messages” at church when no pastor was available. She said she felt closer to God while speaking the gospel.

Leslie loved helping people in anyway possible. She taught herself to be an accomplished seamstress having up to 10 sewing machines. Many people in Wilson had a repaired article done by her hard working hands. Yarn and material filled every nook and cranny of her house as she continued to crochet and quilt.

Leslie is survived by her loving husband, Skip of Wilson; her mother and step-father, Sandra (Paul) Blair of Wilson; brothers, Morgan (Linda Longfritz) Hoover and Herbert (Adrian Elam) Argabright II of Port Orange, Florida; sister, Bonnie Argabright of Sindney, Ohio; uncle, Kenneth (Patricia) Montgomery of Fenton, Missouri; daughters, Monica Cutlip and Jordan Harris of Kansas City, Kansas and Kelsey Cutlip of Wilson. Missing their grandma are Alena, Drakon, Clayton, Sophia, Mackenzie, Audrey, Isabella, Martin, Madison, Dillenger, Charlotte, Athena, Abraham, Gemma, Beverly and Patricia. Also, a great-grandson, Don Jarvion, plus many cousins, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Kevin Argabright; and sisters, Kimberly Capasso and Tina Roberts.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the funeral home in Wilson with Pastor Amy Jo Hawley officiating. Inurnment will follow at Wilson City Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
