Leonard Leroy Marcotte

Leonard LeRoy Marcotte passed away November 22nd, 2017 at Graham County Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on April 14th, 1966, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Thelma Kaolelopono & Leverett Marcotte. Leonard attended Palco High School, where he married Laura Lynn Roy and to this union three children were born. Matthew Marcotte (Holly), Brittanie Hammes (Eric), and Courtney Marcotte (Jon). Leonard was involved in the Palco Community, serving as part of the Palco Fire Department, City Council and the construction of the McKenna Center. Leonard was involved in town team sports such as volleyball, basketball and softball. As a child Leonard farmed for George Whisman and continued farming into adulthood. Leonard work for the KDOT, Coffeeville Resources and Dan’s Dirt Work. Leonard loved to work and continued working until his death. Leonard is survived by: Ex-wife Laura Marcotte, his wonderful children, grandchildren Ava & Leland Marcotte, Kaitlynn & Gavin Hammes, Layne Mengelkoch, his father and mother in law Stan & Diana Roy, his father Leverett Marcotte and many nieces and nephews whom Leonard treated as his own. Leonard is proceeded in death by his mother Thelma Momi Kaolelopono. Leonard’s children will have a celebration of life late next summer when his son Matthew returns from a deployment overseas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Palco Fire Department in loving memory of Leonard.
