Lela Doughty

Lela Doughty, 87, passed away on November 29, 2020, in Shawnee, Kansas. Lela was born December 24, 1932, in Stockton, Kansas, to Caroline and James Albright. After her marriage the family moved to Osborne where Lela was an active member of the First Christian Church and the Saddle Club. Lela returned to school to complete her GED when her children were grown and subsequently worked at the Beloit Youth Center, which was a great source of pride to both herself and her family. Upon the death of her husband Stanley Doughty Lela moved to Beloit and spent her remaining years there, active in the Beloit First Christian Church. She is survived by her children Diana Thayer, Beverly Roman, Steven Doughty and Timothy Doughty. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25th, at Main Street Christian Church, 602 Main St., Stockton, Kansas, at 11:00 a.m.
