Laurence Southard

Laurence Southard passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas at the age of 91. Laurence was born August 14, 1921 in Rooks County, Kansas to Alfred James and Edith Maud (Senior) Southard. Laurence was a WWII Army Veteran. He enjoyed spending time on his farm, playing with his dogs, and listening to music. Laurence was very mechanical and was good at fixing old farm machinery and old pickups which he loved to do. Survivors include sister, Laura McGowan of Salina, Kansas; nieces, Mary Alice Ceridon, Louise Bondurant, and Melva McGowan; nephew Larry Southard; six great nieces and nephews; and four great-great nieces and nephews. Laurence is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edith; brothers, Sumner, Ronald, and Alfred Southard; and sister, Edith Margaret Southard.
