Funeral services for Larry B. Hahn, age 52, of Stockton will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Home in Stockton, Kansas with Reverend Dean Pofahl officiating. Mr. Hahn passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 on a farm south of Woodston, Kansas. He was born January 30, 1959 to Jerry and Vaughn (Rumbeck) Hahn. He graduated from Amherst High School and was a farmer in Buffalo County, Nebraska and Rooks County, Kansas. While in high school, Larry was a three-time state wrestling finalist and two-time Nebraska champion. He continued to support and coach young wrestlers through the years. Serving on the school and township board Larry was an active volunteer and was always available to those in need. Larry enjoyed raising hogs, geese, and other animals too numerous to mention. Survivors include his wife Darla Juhl of Stockton, Kansas aunt, Joan Todd and cousin, Brian Todd both of Lincoln, Nebraska, adopted aunts Jane Hunt, Phyllis Nelson, uncle Fred Adelung of Amherst, Nebraska, aunt Edith Schriner and uncle Laverne and aunt Selma Florang of Kearney, Nebraska and numerous friends. Another memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the O’Brien-Straatmann Funeral Home in Kearney, Nebraska with Reverend Dean Pofahl officiating. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be at a later date in the Riverdale Cemetery in Buffalo County, Nebraska. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Larry B. Hahn Memorial Fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Home, 723 N. First, Stockton, Kansas 67669.
