Kayla Kay Hartwell-Morris passed away February 28, 2015 in Sheridan County, Kansas at the age of 26. She was born in Colby, Kansas on February 10, 1989, to Jeffrey D. Hartwell and Kimberly Kay Pratt. Kayla graduated from Hill City High School with the class of 2007. She was united in marriage to James Morris on June 19, 2007 in Hill City. Survivors include her husband, James of Hays; sons, Shawn Jeffrey Morris and Brett Robert Hartwell; daughter, Emalee Kay Hartwell; step-daughter, Brianna Nicole Morris; mother and step-father, Kimberly & Bryan Gosselin of Hill City, KS; step-mother, Irene Hartwell of Colby, KS; brothers, Brock William Horton of Hill City, KS & Chase Alan Hartwell of Colby, KS; sisters, Hayley Lynn Schneider of Hill City, KS & Jordan Dawn Hartwell of Colby, KS.; grandparents, Fred & Joni Pratt of Hill City, KS., Jay & Lana Ayers of Zurich, KS., Marie Meier, of Hoxie, Larry Gosselin of Stockton, KS, Joyce Gosselin of Hill City, KS. & Jody Hartwell of Colby, KS. & many Aunts, Uncles, & cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Jeffrey Hartwell, infant sister, Whitney Lynn Horton; grandfathers, Ralph Hartwell & Al Meier. Kayla was always full of life and joy. Although our hearts are broken now, her love, laughter, and smile will be cherished by all who knew her. We look forward to a day of joy and celebration when we all are together again in heaven.
