Jonnie Arnold

Jonnie Clara Lee Arnold, age 72, of Plainville, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at her home in Plainville. She was born September 1, 1938 the daughter of John & Irene (Randall) Sledge in Tampa, Florida. She served in the United States Air Force From 1957-1959. Jonnie married Charles G. “Chuck” Arnold November 21, 1959 in Colby, Kansas. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Sacred Heart Guild, and the Rooks County Health Center Auxiliary. Jonnie enjoyed fishing, camping, trips with friends, gardening, playing bingo, bowling, crocheting baby blankets for family and friends. Survivors include her husband Charles of 51 years of the home; daughters Anita and husband Ed Sabatka of Grand Island, Nebraska, Loretta and husband David Studer of Atwood, Kansas; sons Jeff and wife Cindy Arnold of Staplehurst, Nebraska; Brian & wife Casey Arnold of Plainville, Kansas; brother Henry Sledge of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; 8 grandchildren Stephanie Cahoj-Dozler, Derik Arnold, Kristy Cahoj, Kelly Arnold, Ryan Arnold, Cole Studer, Jake Arnold, John Arnold; 2 step grandchildren Ashley Studer, Haleigh Studer; 2 great grandchildren Isabella and Savannah. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Galen Long as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel. A Ladies Guild Rosary will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. A Parish Vigil Services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart School.
