Jesse James Stroup

Jesse James Stroup was born January 23, 1984 to Glenn and Tammy (Boland) Stroup in Osborne, Kansas. He passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 in Newton, Kansas at the age of 28. Jesse grew up in Alton, Kansas. He attended school in Osborne, KS and Cloud County Community College in the summer of 2003. In 2005, he went to work for Koss Construction and worked there for 7 years. He then went to work for APAC Construction in 2012. Jesse enjoyed his mom's runny chocolate pies, video games and music. He always had a smile on his face and loved his family and friends. Leaving to mourn his death are his mother, Tammy Hunter and step-father Steve Hunter of Stockton, Kansas; grandmothers, Jean Boland of Osborne, KS and Lucille Stroup of Alton, KS; and great-grandmother Doris Holloway of Alton, KS. Preceding Jesse in death are his father Glenn Stroup; grandfathers Murray Holloway and J.D. Boland; and sister Christy Nonamaker. Memorial service will be Monday, August 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stockton United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
