Jesse Milton Hunt, Jr. passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Solomon Valley Manor in Stockton at the age of 90. He was born in Stockton April 14, 1922 to Jesse Milton, Sr. and Genevieve (Campbell) Hunt. Jesse graduated from Stockton High School in 1940. On April 8, 1951, he was united in marriage to Dorothy E. Young in Woodston, Kansas. To this union 2 daughters were born: Janice and Sherri. Jesse was a farmer and was involved in the upkeep of Webster State Lake with the Bureau of Reclamation. He also worked for the Stockton Co-op for 20 years delivering propane. Jesse was a lifetime member of the Stockton United Methodist Church. Jesse loved his family. He enjoyed spending time at auctions with his wife, visiting with friends and coffee. His grandchildren always put a smile on his face. Left to cherish Jesse’s memory are his daughters Janice (Kent) Keller of Stockton and Sherri (Alvin) Hammerschmidt of Hutchinson; sister Flossie Hake of Plainville; 5 grandchildren, Kyle Hammerschmidt, Doug, Tracy (Daneen), Kris and Sara Keller; and 6 great-grandchildren, Christian Drake, Payton, Lincoln, Janae, Kalvin and Allie Keller. Preceding Jesse in death are his parents; his wife Dorothy; brothers Glenn and Lee; sisters Hazel Lowe, Myrtle Waters, Helen Lindsey and Velma Maddy.
