Stockton

Jesse Duane Hulse, of Stockton, Kansas, passed away on December 20, 2025, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas, at the age of 65. He was born on March 27, 1960, to Merle and Diana (Sanders) Hulse in Plainville, Kansas.

Jesse grew up in Stockton and graduated from Stockton High School in 1978. Following high school, he worked as a roughneck in the oil fields before becoming self-employed as an electrical contractor. He later devoted much of his time and talent to remodeling, carpentry, and woodworking—skills he took great pride in.

Together they shared over 40 years of marriage and were blessed with six children: Pandia, Jesse Caleb, Madison, Cameo, Holland, and Justus. Jesse deeply cherished his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In his free time, Jesse enjoyed remodeling projects, playing pool, traveling, taking walks, and spending time with his dogs. He was a faithful member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Denise Hulse, of the home in Stockton; his children: Pandia Graves of Shawnee, KS, Jesse Caleb (Caressa) Hulse of Shawnee, Madison (Russell) Shelley of Shawnee, Cameo (Maximo) Penichet of Shawnee, Holland (Silas) Baker of Kansas City, KS, and Justus (Kate) Hulse of Hays, KS; his sisters, Lila (Alan) Dunning of Chanute, KS, Sharon Hulse of Grand Junction, CO, and Tammy (Ken) Williams of Janesville, Wisconsin; and his eleven grandchildren: Dashiell, Avonlea, and Bellamy Graves; Jaylynn and Wyatt Hulse; Eloise Shelley; Maximo and Capri Penichet; and Sullivan, Felicity, and Baby Baker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Diana Hulse.
