Jeanette Williams was born April 2, 1949 in Hill City, Kansas to Max and Irene Daily. She grew up with her siblings: Maxine, Jim, Bill and Gary. She attended Hill City Grade School and graduated from Hill City High School in the Class of 1967. That summer she attended beauty school in Kansas City and worked there until she was married to Darrel Williams, August 17, 1969 in Hill City. Jeanette began a babysitting service in her home and continued that for nine years. During this time, Jeanette and Darrel were blessed with the arrival of three sons: Robert “Rob”, February 25, 1971 and their twins, Terry and Larry, January 9, 1973. Later Jeanette began working at the hospital as an insurance clerk and receptionist. She held these positions for 18 years, and then went to the Graham County Clinic as the insurance clerk for about ten years. She returned to the hospital, retiring after a total of 33 years of service. While the boys were growing up, Jeanette was very active as the Boy Scout troop’s Den Mother. When the boys were in sports, Jeanette never missed a game. She painstakingly kept track of stats for every game, so she could tell the boys how they did. She even gave rides to any kid that needed one. In the summer, for several years, Jeanette, her mother, her sister Maxine, and Aunt Herma Grace Phillips traveled extensively throughout the United States. They enjoyed this time together and saw many interesting places. In 2007, Jeanette’s health took a turn for the worse when she fell and broke her leg. A few years later, she fell and broke her back which led to her further decline. Jeanette had always wanted to go to California to visit her father’s grave, but due to her immobility that dream never took place. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and her infant twin sister at birth. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Darrel, of the home; three brothers: Jim (Dorothy) Daily of Summerville South Carolina; Bill (Linda) Daily of Kansas City, Missouri; Gary (Fran) Daily of Branson, Missouri; a sister Maxine (Don) Hickert of Blue Springs, Missouri; three sons: Rob (Gina) Williams of Olathe, Kansas; Terry (Jennifer) Williams of Hill City; Larry (Patrick) Williams of Hendersonville, North Carolina; seven grandchildren: Maci, Emily, Kaley, Chase, Teagan, Madison and Abby; and her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
