Howard Dean Fogle passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Hays Medical Center at the age of 56. He was born November 14, 1957 to Dean and Mildred (Applegarth) Fogle in Manhattan, Kansas. Howard attended grade school in Manhattan and graduated from Concordia High School with the class of 1976. He went on to get a degree in Auto Mechanics from North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit in 1977. He was united in marriage to Leslie Ann Johnson on March 10, 1979 in Concordia. To this union two children were born, Christopher and Amanda. Howard was an active member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Plainville. He grew up a true Boy Scout and served as a Troop Leader. In his younger years he enjoyed both Hobby Stock and Stock Car Racing and owned his own auto mechanic shop, Mopar Productions. In recent years he was a truck driver. Howard loved spending time with his precious grandchildren. Howard is survived by his wife Leslie of the home; son Christopher Fogle and wife Jillian of Bel Aire; daughter Amanda Bowers of Colby; grandchildren Ryan Fogle, Molly Fogle, Shea Bowers, and Shyla Bowers; brother Tim Fogle and wife LeAnn of Glasco; sister Marjorie Horkman and husband John of Concordia; mother Mildred Fogle of Concordia; nieces and nephews Elizabeth Lundquist, Sarah LaRosh, Chelsey Horkman, Carly Loos, Colby Johnson, and Jordan Adee; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Dean Fogle. Howard was greatly loved and will be greatly missed because he was a man of value, character, and integrity who served with a giving heart and loved with an even greater heart.
