Remembering… Henry L. Soukup, 85, of Wilson, Kansas passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas. Henry was born July 14, 1929 on the family farm east of Wilson, the son of Albert and Ludmilla (Kratky) Soukup. Henry met Betty Jennrich at the skating rink in Ellsworth, Kansas and they were united in marriage on August 6, 1958 in Russell, Kansas. This union was blessed with three children; Marcia, Twila, and Larry. A farmer, Henry was a lifetime resident of Wilson. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dorrance, Kansas, Catholic Workman, and a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus #1924 of Wilson, Kansas. He enjoyed bicycle riding, playing bingo and pitch, but was most often found in his garage tinkering with whatever needed fixed. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty, of the home; daughter Twila (Roger) Angell, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas; son Larry of Wilson, Kansas, four granddaughters, Marcie Nordman of Riverside, CA, Mindy Willis of Kansas City, MO, Lisa Angell and Kimberly Angell both of Medicine Lodge, KS and two great granddaughters, Nysa and Lillian. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Marcia, two brothers, Adolph Soukup and Al Soukup; two sisters, Agnes Konarik and Mary Ann Kasper and a host of friends.
